I love a good cocktail, and this one is also pretty. Since I have so many apples from our tree’s this year, a delish drink incorporating them was a must. You can use this idea to make all different types of cocktails by adding different fruit, flowers or maybe even some eyeballs, gummy worms or small plastic black spiders. Just get creative and have fun with it. I used a bundt pan to make my ice cube, freezing half of the liquid at a time for a layered effect. I did this a day in advance of my special event.
Apple Whiskey Harvest Punch
What You Will Need
One and 1/2 cups of Crown Royal Apple Whiskey
1/2 cup of St. Germain (elderflower liquor)
One cup of freshly squeezed OJ
One bottle of Champagne
One liter apple juice
A bunch of sprigs of thyme
Freestanding pedestal punch bowl
Cinnamon for garnish
HOW TO MAKE IT
I froze my OJ in the bottom of the bundt pan first for an hour or until it is frozen. After the first layer was frozen, I added the apple juice with slices of apple, orange, and thyme and filled it to the top of the bundt pan. As you can see in the photo above, it really makes for a beautiful ice cube, making this cocktail top notch. Keep it in the freezer until a half an hour before serving. You want it to melt a little to combine and be incorporated in the cocktail.
Add all your liquor and then your bottle of champagne. I sliced my apple, so the star was showing and used as a garnish along with a sprig of thyme, gooseberry, and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
For all of my followers from the US, this is the perfect Thanksgiving cocktail.
